At the end of our session, we did a photo shoot with Mary and Scott, who are wedding photographers in L.A. They were amazing 'models' who looked like an Urban Outfitters catalog, which I loved!!! Note to anyone who doesn't know what to wear to a portrait session... UO! They were also celebrating their one year wedding anniversary, making it that much more rad!! Oh and their props. Oh and that they were just super rad people!
I love the photos below, and the new direction we're going in.... :)
Thank you so much to Sarah, Chris, Mary & Scott!!! You made my Seattle experience so much more than just a vacation!!!
EXCELLENT work! love it.
Hellz ya!!! Get it gurl!!! love it! you totally just one uped me! I
probably wont be able to get to these for another 3 weeks :( You rocked
it! SO happy to have met you in Seattle and see where you go. You will
go many places and do many great big beautiful things miss Mary Wyar!!!
what the what? i love these! thank you so much for allowing us to model
for you. We feel honored and I am so excited to see the things you took
out of the mentoring session! I hope our paths cross again. I feel like
we were somewhat separated at birth with everything we have in
common..haha. Anyway..you rock! Keep doing what you do best!
OMG! That's my friend! I love her! And I LOVE the images you got of them! They are absolutely perfect!!!
love love love the black and white one! It should be blown up and framed! Awesome photos :)
love these pictures - especially the one where he's jumping on the skateboard and his legs frame her face. very cool modern vintage vibe to all of 'em.
On June 24th Phil and I headed out on the road for our 5000 mile drive to and back from Seattle.
Why did we drive instead of just flying?!? As some of you know, a few months ago I bought a new car, the Honda Insight Hybrid which I am in love with and why not just drive it across the country, right?! I felt like we were in one of those commercials for it.
Why Seattle? I did a life changing mono-e-mono mentoring session with the fricking amazing Sarah & Chris Rhoads of Sarah Rhoads Photographers... and Seattle has been a city I have been longing to visit. I always had a feeling that it was me, and it didn't disappoint. The weather, the people, the food, the coffee, the scenery.... I am in love with that city. On Monday [June 29th] I did a my 8 hour mentoring session, and ended it up with a super rad shoot with Mary Frances & her hubby Scott [more on that shoot later].
I wanted to share some of the photos we took along the way.... there are a lot. Also, the slideshow below is best viewed in any browser other than Internet Explorer.... I love Firefox :) Also, you can double click below to view them in full screen!!
Ooooh - I love a good road trip! This looks amazing...and very freeing! I love all of the sky shots. :D
what pretty wedding colors!!!! Very nice.
I had met with a bride at Panera when I heard a woman's voice say, 'You're a photographer right? I've seen a photo of you on the internet...' Of course, I am thinking to myself, Oh my goodness... I am getting recognized in public by strangers... How awesome!!! I introduce myself to a lovely couple at Panera, Raquel's parents. Raquel's mom goes on to say that she has two daughters, but neither of them are engaged nor does she exepect them to be anytime soon, but I gave her my card anyway and suggested that she and her husband do their own photo shoot! A couple weeks later, Raquel's mom calls me with the news that Raquel (and Jason) are now engaged!
And here we are with their engagement photos! As you will see, they are gorgeous and a ton of fun.... It amazes me that this is my 'work'. Thank you for being a rad couple!
Oh, and just for future reference... Jason is a long-jump coach... never know when that information might be useful.
